How can the lines on my neck and chest be improved?
Dr. Tansavatdi uses dermal fillers Radiesse® and/or Sculptra® to soften and improve the lines on the neck and/or chest. She uses them either independently or together, depending on the patient’s specific needs.
Sculptra
Sculptra treatments are quick and easy, with no numbing required. They are injected right below the surface of the skin, and in 4 to 6 weeks, new collagen will appear in the treated area. The results are natural, and you will notice that the support structure of your skin is restored with soft, healthy-looking volume. Sculptra is made from poly-l-lactic acid. Patients typically require 2-3 treatments scheduled 4-6 weeks apart for the best results. Patients find the results highly satisfactory, and these results usually last over two years.
Radiesse
Like Sculptra, Radiesse is quick, easy, and convenient, with no downtime. It is a calcium-based treatment that is a stimulatory for collagen, which creates volume. The calcium means that, while Radiesse treatments do add immediate volume, once the calcium hydroxyapatite gel is absorbed by the body (after approximately 12 weeks), the newly-formed collagen remains—which means long-lasting, natural looking results. Dr. Tansavatdi recommends that patients return 2 to 4 weeks after the initial treatment for Radiesse to be added over time. Some patients require a few treatments over a period as long as six months to replace the lost collagen.
When used together, Sculptra and Radiesse have the ability to rejuvenate the skin for optimal fullness and volume, resultinga in firmer, more resilient skin in the neck and chest area.
